Eligibility & Certification Requirements
Before earning your FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate, you'll need to meet the following certification requirements. Throughout your training, IASCO's instructors will guide you through every milestone and ensure you're fully prepared before your FAA checkride.
Be at least 18 years old
Hold a Private Pilot Certificate
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Receive the required endorsements from a qualified instructor
Successfully complete the FAA Commercial Pilot Knowledge Test
Pass the FAA Commercial Practical Test (Oral Exam & Checkride)
Demonstrate the required aeronautical knowledge established by the FAA
Demonstrate proficiency in commercial flight maneuvers and operations
Complete the required aeronautical experience and flight training
Note: FAA Commercial Pilot certification requirements are governed by 14 CFR §61.123, §61.125, §61.127, and §61.129. Your instructor will ensure all applicable requirements are met before recommending you for your practical test.
